Vertical and Horizontal Sliding Windows
- Check for correct fit by testing each window in its appropriate space
- Apply a bead of exterior caulking onto the back of the flange and square the window into the opening
- Fasten the 1st screw into the bottom left corner through the flange and the 2nd screw through the top left corner
- Fasten 3rd screw into the top right corner through the flange and 4th screw through the bottom right corner
- Fasten at least two more screws through the flange on both sides between the top and bottom screws
- Depending on the width, fasten at least one screw centered through the top and bottom flange
- To improve the ease of raising and lowering the windows, lightly spray silicone lube into the tracks
- Trim excess screen carefully with an Exacto knife
Additional steps only for Inside Mount Windows
- Cut a piece of screen 3″ larger than the window frame
- Push the screen into the channel with the spline starting at the top of the window
- Use the spline roller to roll over the spline, forcing it into the channel
- The spline will hold the screen in place as you work your way around the frame
- Start the spline across the top, then the right side, left side, and finish at the bottom
- Keep the screen pulled tight throughout the entire process
- If the screen is not tight enough, remove the spline from one area, pull the screen, and reinsert the spline
- Trim excess screen and spline around the edges carefully with an Exacto knife
Exterior Door Installation
- Check for correct fit by holding the door in its appropriate space
- Apply a bead of exterior caulking onto the back of the flange and square the door into the opening
- Fasten 1st screw into the pre-drilled bottom left hole, the 2nd screw through the top left corner hole
- Fasten 3rd screw in the top right corner through the flange and 4th screw through the bottom right corner
- Fasten at least two more screws through the flange on both sides between the top and bottom screws
- Depending on the width, fasten at least one screw centered through the top flange
- Once installed, remove spacers and rivets
- Install threshold with fasteners designed for subsurface
- Install the door handle through the pre-drilled hole
- Check handle & deadbolt for easy operation
Fixed Panel Window Installation
- Measure openings on all sides to determine daylight opening
- Deduct 1/4” of an inch from all measurements
- A rough sketch for quoting and ordering purposes is recommended
- Check for correct fit by testing each window in its appropriate space
- Apply a bead of exterior caulking onto the backside of the flange and square the window into the opening
- Fasten 1st screw into the bottom left corner through the flange and 2nd screw through the top left corner
- Fasten 3rd screw into the top right corner through the flange and 4th screw through the bottom right corner
- Fasten at least two more screws through the flange on both sides between the top and bottom screws
- Depending on the width, fasten at least one screw centered through the top and bottom flange
Troubleshooting
The window is too wide in the middle to fit in the opening.
The windows are flexible and can be gently squeezed to fit into the opening.
My windows are not sliding easily.
Spray a small amount of silicone lube onto the track, not an oil product. Ensure to spray silicone on both sides of the track where the window springs touch.
My window won’t stay up; it keeps slipping down?
If you have used too much silicone spray in the PVC track, wipe some off with a soft cloth.
